The Cultural Association of India, Anchorage CAIA educates and informs Americans of other cultural heritage about the rich cultural legacy of many parts of Indian subcontinent and provides mutual education and cultural exchanges between Americans of other cultural inheritances with Indian cultural heritage. We introduce, promote and enhance awareness of the various performing arts of the Indian subcontinent through presenting concerts, classical dances, recitals and lecture demonstrations. In the recent past we invited leading artists from the lower 48 states to present cultural events in the Performing Arts. We have had several Classical Dancers perform concerts in Bharatnatyam and Kuchupudi styles. We have had musicians to perform Instrumental Music concerts in the Hindustani Style. The Cultural Association of India, Anchorage is also a platform for promoting Indian Culture and preserving this rich heritage among our future generations and furthering of Indian Culture among the people and youth of Anchorage.
